Did you ever wonder how you could efficiently guide an unbelieving friend to approach their Bible-Reading from wherever they might happen to be standing in terms of the Bible's lack of credibility in their eyes? Would you appreciate some help in guiding someone in such a way that you will contribute to his or her avoiding Bible-Reading Mistakes commonly made by unbelievers?

I would like to encourage you to read Peter Guirguis' The Biggest Mistake Skeptics Make When Reading the Bible, And How To Fix It, published on the apologetics section of NotAshamedOfTheGospel.Com, and then move on to accept the writer's invitation to comment his article on his own blog. If you choose to respond here, please link from here to there so that the original author of this article gets full credit for his work and its effect on the internet. Here is an extract from the article's "Key Takeways" section:
There are three main ways that a skeptic can find out the correct interpretation of Scripture, and they are:

  • He/She can ask God for the interpretation even though they are not believers

  • He/She can read an Orthodox Christian commentary

  • He/She can ask a real, not fake, Christian

  • Please read the entire article for yourself, as these and other points are expounded in ways quite helpful for seekers of truth, especially along the lines of thinking through how to go about choosing which general categories of Bible interpreters to trust.

How did The Biggest Mistake Skeptics Make When Reading the Bible, And How To Fix It help you in your quest for truth about God?
