One sometimes wonder how to evaluate what one reads or hears about the Christian faith, or about positions expressed concerning it. This section provides a relatively simple model of theological evaluation and examples where it was used to analyze a few texts.
The articles published in this section deal with the following subjects:
- Evaluating Theological Statements and Practices according to the three-pillards theological model proposed by Stanley Grenz : Bible, Christian heritage, culture;
- Theology and Faith: Friends or Foes? where reflecting theologically is considered – by Anselm according to Barth – to be a vital manifestation of one’s Faith in God;
- Demystifying the Historical Origins of Evangelical Christians, such as Protestant Reformation, Puritans, Pietists, etc., in our post-fondamentalist era;
- Understanding Culture and Responding from the Word — an evaluation of Timothy Keller’s theological work about suffering : his approach is a model to follow for the use he makes of Scriptures in response to cultures as well as to Christian heritages.
